HEY PEEPS! I ERASED ALL OF LAST YEARS ATTEMPTS AT WEIGHT LOSS AND NOW I AM STARTING A NEW PROGRAM MY FRIENDS MIKE AND SYDNEY WHITE INTRODUCED ME TO. THEY ARE LOSING SO MUCH WEIGHT AND THIS SAME PROGRAM WAS USED ON THE BIGGEST LOSER. IT'S CALLED THE BODYBUGG.AND THE DEVICE TRACKS YOUR CALORIE BURNING ALL DAY LONG...LEARN MORE ABOUT IT ON WWW.BODYBUGG.COM I'M NEVER GIVING UP ON BEING HEALTHY...
UPDATE:
I have lost 14 pounds since Feb.22,2009 (today is March 9,2009)
I am working out for 30 minutes to 1 hour on my wii fit game everyday.
I am eating much better than I ever have...I have cut out soda completely.Instead I drink club soda to get the same sensation. Please get the no sodium,no calorie kind.
I am eating more salad than anything,I have cut out beef all together. I eat a little chicken but mostly fish.
I am really working on portion control. I do not want to go backwards ,so to deal with my emotional eating problem, which usually has me resort to junk food,if I crave it I eat just a little, and walk away.
When I am feeling frustrated,I promised myself that I would do the Boxing game on wii fit for 30 minutes and/or go for a walk.
I am trying to change my whole lifestyle, and deal with stress another way..rather than go to McDonalds or just sit in front of the computer and read horoscopes, which I found myself doing the last couple months.
I have always been a reader, always been active ,and with the age of cable TV and computers...I fell into that lifestyle.
Thank GOD the weather is breaking..I walked around down The Baltimore Harbor last night, and I really enjoyed it, Plus it helped me reach my 10000 steps a day goal for my body bugg.
This device that the contestants on the biggest loser wear is the BEST. I hate to not have it on my arm,it's become a part of me. I like logging on to see how many calories,I have burned, and how many steps I have taken during the day.
I need my knuckles tapped because I do not do well with logging my food which I know is VITAL to successful, long term weight loss.
As soon as I get some money(shoot, just being real) I will be working with a trainer to help me build muscle. To be honest ,I really know how to train myself, but what woman wouldn't mind a sexy set of muscles helping build hers???
Okay that's all for now...
I'll update every Sunday, here and on FACEBOOK(another addiction)!

Hi Maysa:)
Thank you for sharing! It takes courage to be as honest as you've been.
Wishing you the very best in every aspect of your life!
God Bless you and NEVER EVER stop giving us BEAUTIFUL MUSIC!!!!!!!!!!
You were FAB last year at the Capital Jazz Festival in Maryland -although it was 200 degrees! LOL
Any plans of unitying with Incognito for a concert or two?
still waiting for your video sweet lady
Hi! Maysa
Checked yo otu at The Capital Jazz Fest. You were looking and sounding great! as always.
I am feeling you regarding the weight loss thing. It
can be a terrible struggle if you let your thinking go in that direction. But you seem to have things under wraps! CONGRATULATIONS!!!
Emotional eating is the enemy. I find that when I do start trippin' instead of Pepperidge Farm cookies and any kind of good ice cream that blending some frozen fruit into a smoothey or a tasty cold or hot tea with lemon and a little honey will do the job.
Well, keep up the good works "singer" and keep on shinin'

I am not sure if my previous comment appeared...so here goes again
There is a reality about weight loss after the age of 35. There is very little documented proof that diet and exercise alone will prove effective.
Have you considered a surgical alternative?
You have so much to give Maysa...why not give to yourself
Lots of love
Good luck
Hi, Maysa. We happen to think you're always perfect in our eyes. We appreciate you sharing your story with us and remember we always have your back.
All the best,

Hi Maysa,
We share determination for being health and physically fit in spite of our addiction with food. I am also an emotional overeater because of PTSD. With God's grace and good music like Incognito, I am being blessed. Good to know I'm not alone and I have someone as fabulous as you to network with for social support- thanks for all you do...
Love and blessings to you and Jazz,
Tracey
